A Year of Complex Access: Kerrect’s 2025 Milestones in Height Safety and Rope Access

As 2025 comes to a close, it marks a year of momentum, maturity, and measured growth for Kerrect. Across Australia’s most complex and high-risk environments, our teams have delivered critical height safety and rope access solutions that prioritise safety, engineering rigour, and long-term asset performance.  This year was not defined by any single project or milestone, but by the consistency with which Kerrect operated across varied scopes, locations, and challenges. From major infrastructure works to some of the country’s most recognised structures, 2025 reinforced Kerrect’s role as a trusted construction safety specialist and long-term partner for complex access environments.

Delivering at Scale Across Complex Sites

Throughout 2025, Kerrect delivered a broad portfolio of work spanning height safety systems, industrial rope access services, safety netting, and façade access systems. These projects demanded precision, planning, and close collaboration with builders, asset owners, and project teams operating under strict safety and compliance requirements.  Our work continued to support commercial building maintenance, high rise building maintenance, and major infrastructure projects where access constraints, live environments, and risk management are critical considerations. In each case, Kerrect’s focus remained the same: design and deliver access systems that are safe, compliant, durable, and fit for purpose.

Major Projects and Technical Achievements

One of the most significant undertakings of the year was Kerrect’s involvement in Brisbane’s Cross River Rail project. Across all four new stations, our teams were engaged in the installation of complete rope access systems, incorporating rigid rails, anchors, and integrated access solutions designed to support ongoing inspection, maintenance, and operations.  The complexity of this work lay not only in scale, but in coordination. These environments required carefully sequenced installation, alignment with broader construction programs, and absolute confidence in system performance. Engineering-led design and disciplined installation ensured that each system met both immediate project requirements and long-term asset needs.  In Sydney, Kerrect was entrusted with difficult access works across some of the city’s most iconic and high-profile assets, including the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Tower, and Deutsche Bank Place. These sites present unique challenges: restricted access zones, heritage considerations, public interfaces, and zero tolerance for error.  Across each location, Kerrect’s height safety engineers and rope access technicians applied tailored access strategies, combining fall protection systems, rope access building maintenance techniques, and rigorous safety planning. The outcome was precise, controlled work delivered safely in environments where risk must be actively managed at every stage.

Expanding Capability and Operational Reach

In 2025, Kerrect also strengthened its operational footprint with the establishment of a new Sydney office and warehouse at BASE Alexandria. This location was selected to support more efficient servicing of metropolitan projects, improve logistics, and reduce mobilisation time across Sydney and surrounding regions.  The proximity to the CBD, major transport corridors, and the airport has enhanced Kerrect’s ability to respond quickly to client needs, whether supporting industrial rope access systems, safety netting installations, or height safety system inspections. This expansion reflects Kerrect’s continued investment in infrastructure that supports reliable delivery and long-term partnerships.

Staying Ahead of Industry Standards

The release of AS/NZS 1891.4:2025 was a key industry development during the year, and Kerrect remained actively engaged with its implications for system use, inspection regimes, and anchor testing. Rather than treating compliance as a checkbox exercise, Kerrect applies updated standards as part of a broader commitment to safer systems and better-performing assets.  For clients, this proactive approach translates into reduced risk, clearer inspection frameworks, and confidence that height safety solutions are aligned with current best practice. It also reinforces Kerrect’s role as a height safety specialist that understands not just how systems are installed, but how they perform over their full lifecycle.

The People Behind the Systems

Behind every system installed and every project delivered is a team committed to doing the work properly. In 2025, Kerrect’s engineers, rope access technicians, and project managers continued to operate with a strong focus on collaboration, attention to detail, and consistency across sites.  Whether working on high rise rope access, construction safety nets, or roof access safety systems, the shared responsibility for safety and quality remained central. This culture of discipline and teamwork underpins Kerrect’s ability to deliver reliable outcomes across diverse environments and client requirements.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As Kerrect looks toward 2026, the focus remains intentional and measured. The foundations built in 2025 support targeted growth, an increased presence across Southeast Queensland, and continued delivery of complex height safety, rope access, and safety netting solutions.  Rather than pursuing expansion for its own sake, Kerrect is committed to scaling what works: engineering-led design, disciplined installation, and systems that support long-term asset safety. With stable operations, experienced teams, and a clear understanding of client needs, Kerrect enters the new year prepared for the challenges ahead.

A Strong Foundation for What’s Next

2025 reinforced what Kerrect stands for: delivering complex height safety and access solutions at scale, earning trust through consistency, and placing safety and engineering rigour at the centre of every project.  As the industry continues to evolve, Kerrect remains focused on building safer access, stronger systems, and enduring partnerships laying solid foundations for the years to come.
